10.       Minnesota Veterans Home (good place to volunteer and help veterans)

9.         Fort Snelling Cemetery and Arlington National Cemetery

8.         Bunker Hill Battle Memorial (Boston)

o   Climbed to the top of obelisk (tower) withmy brothers during a snowstorm.

7.         Vietnam, Korea and WWII memorials (Wash. D.C.)

6.         Tomb of the Unknown Solider (Wash. D.C.) 

o   Changing of the Guard

5.         Gettysburg 

o   We walked where the MN 1st Regiment charged during the battle

4.         Visiting a relative’s grave

o   Like to visit my Grandpas graves - both were vets (Army and Navy)

3.         Minnesota Memorials at State Capitol (Vietnam, Korea, WWII, Monument to Living Vets)

2.         FDR memorial (Wash D.C.)

o   FDR’s statue has him seated in his wheelchair.  (A great president with a disability).

1.         Victory Memorial Drive (Mpls.) (it’s a really cool drive)

o   568 trees planted to honor Hennepin County residents who died in World War I

o   Been there many times.  I like the trees with the plaques for the soldiers and nurses who died.  I also like the Abraham Lincoln stature.
