Tell Your Pride, hosted by Shimmer, is a weekly conversation rooted in queer community, chosen family, and the power of living out loud. Each Thursday, Shimmer sits down for thoughtful interviews and real talk with artists, organizers, neighbors, and culture-shapers who are building connection and visibility right here in Saint Paul and beyond.
This isn’t just a show about pride — it’s a show about people. About history, resilience, creativity, and the everyday joy that keeps our community moving forward.

meet your host - Shimmer
Quinn Villagomez aka Shimmer (She/Her/Hers) is a Trans Latina Woman based in the Twin Cities.
Shimmer uses She/Her/Her and femme identified pronouns. She is a Radio On Air Personality on KFAI 90.3 FM Radio.
Shimmer is a host alongside her mentor, friend, DJ and Twin Cities Activist Roxanne Anderson on KFAI’s Fresh Fresh Fruit/RARE Productions, and currently is apart of KFAI Radio’s weekly AM Drive shows lineup with her show “Daybreak With Shimmer” that airs every Thursday morning from 6am-8am on KFAI 90.3 FM Radio.
Shimmer is also a Pop Culture enthusiast- she loves music, fashion and all things that are Pop Culture and anything that is sparkly.
Creator of 2 highly successful fashions shows in the Twin Cities - The Purple Ones which is a fashion show to honor Minnesota’s own Icon- Prince. Also designICON - a fashion show inspired by those who inspire us and a Lip Sync Battle - Sync Ur Lips.
Outside of all the media, fashion and pop culture fun - she currently works in Human Resources and has been in the profession for over 15 years and enjoys working and advocating for people and ensuring HR polices, procedures and compliance practices are in place.
Quinn (Shimmer) is very passionate for LGBTQIAS2+ Rights - she is always wanting to ensure Trans, Non Binary, Indigenous and Queer Voices and Identities have a voice a place at the table always.
